As a Full stack Software Engineer, you’ll be embedded on a development team where you can work on the next generation of cloud software.  In this highly-collaborative environment, you will have the opportunity to grow as a software engineer.

This position requires excellent Object-Oriented programming and Design Pattern skills. The Senior developer engineer will be involved in the deployment of our enterprise software solution to the cloud. The job requires you to be able to design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug complex software application at the enterprise level. We are looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about programming, quality, and truly enjoys what they do. The qualified candidate for the Software Engineer position is someone who has a can-do attitude and is an innovative thinker.

Responsibilities Include:

The engineer will be primarily responsible for developing an Integration Platform to supports our product offerings along with other services and deployment code written in many languages. Additional duties would include educating and evangelizing to the rest of the team best practices around the Java Spring framework, performance, and reliability.

  • Collaborate with members of the team to solve challenging engineering tasks on time and with high quality.
  • Engage in code reviews and training of team members.
  • Support continuous deployment pipeline code.
  • Situationally troubleshoot production issues alongside the support team.
  • Continually research and recommend product improvements.
  • Create and integrate features for our enterprise software solution using the latest Java, Java Spring, technologies
  • Write web services, business objects, and other middle-tier framework using Java, Java Spring, and technologies
  • Actively communicate with team members to clarify requirements and overcome obstacles to meet the team goals
  • Leverage open source and other technologies and languages outside of the Java framework should the need arise, and autonomously be able to make use of those decisions
  • Develop cutting edge solutions to maximize the performance, scalability, and distributed processing capabilities of the system
  • Provide troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues that are escalated to the engineering team
  • Work with development teams in an agile context as it relates to software development, including test driven development, automated unit testing and test fixtures, and pair programming
  • Actively participate in daily code reviews with talented software engineers and architects
Qualifications:
  • 5 or more years’ experience as a key developer on enterprise projects
  • Software development experience including: OOP, concurrency programming, design patterns, RESTful service implementation, Service Oriented Architecture, Test-Driven Development, Acceptance Testing.
  • Experience using automation testing tools (Selenium, xUnit, mocking frameworks)
  • Experience creating tools to automate the deployment of an enterprise software solution to the cloud
  • Strong object-oriented design and development experience
  • Knowledge of design patterns and their implementation

As Implementation Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of the KyckGlobal team, leading successful implementation and onboarding projects. You’ll be working closely with customers, their partners, and internal team members, using your effective communication and project management skills to own the end-to-end delivery of KyckGlobal’s platform rollouts to clients. Your positive contributions will add improvements to existing processes, introduce new ideas and methods to a fast-growing team, and help mitigate risks. Responsibilities Include:
  • Accountability for the entire project cycle from project planning to execution
  • Ability to monitor the implementation from kickoff through delivery, facilitating collaboration with external customers and ensuring a positive onboarding experience for the client
  • Key responsibility – Handle multiple onboarding projects, likely across various phases of the project lifecycles with the ability to lead, manage and present project status internally and externally.
  • Lead status meetings and reporting (establishing milestones, project owners, scope, tracking timelines).
  • Partner with product owners, solution architects, sales, and account managers to address issues and critical path needs to drive to resolution to support a successful project.

Role Overview

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be involved throughout the development lifecycle of the KyckGlobal development team with particular responsibility in the quality assurance of software development and deployment with emphasis on development and implementation of test automation. You’ll be involved in the creation of the test scripts and test scenarios to ensure developers understand the business requirements so that they can be effectively tested. You will be working closely with developers as they develop code to ensure requirements are being met and to the correct quality, and you will conduct automated (and manual tests where necessary) to ensure the software created is fit for purpose. During testing you will be thinking “outside of the box” to understand the various scenarios and configurations that customers use to ensure customer quality is maintained and through doing so drive regression testing across the products. You will be responsible for defining and driving innovative automated testing strategies and toolsets into our overall development processes that support and enhance the current Quality Assurance processes within KyckGlobal.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Work as part of cross functional, passionate agile project teams to ensure quality is driven into the heart of the development process from requirements definition through to delivery
  • Designing, developing and supporting frameworks for our test infrastructure and providing automation expertise to our development teams
  • Contributing toward predictable delivery of quality releases
  • Research, recommend and implement tools as needed with the goal of increasing automation
  • Proactively bringing issues and problems to the attention of the team; generating, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to solve them

Qualifications:
  • Strong background in, and at least 3+ years of working in tooling or QA automation
  • Thorough understanding of SDLC, specifically automated QA processes in agile development environments
  • Experience in writing, executing and monitoring automated test suites using a variety of technologies including, but not limited to, Cucumber, Concordion, Selenium, Fit/FitNesse, SoapUI
  • Proficient with bug tracking and test management toolsets to support development processes
  • Strong working knowledge of testing fundamentals such as TDD & BDD
  • Proficient working with relational databases such as MySQL & PostreSQL

Advantageous:

  • Building test infrastructures using containerization technologies such as Docker and working within continuous delivery / continuous release pipeline processes

As a Solution Architect on our engineering team, you will work hands on to solve mission-critical business challenges. You will provide technical guidance on implementation of projects, evaluate the technical and functional requirements, designing and developing cost-effective solutions to provide KyckGlobl’s initiatives with demonstrable returns. As a subject-matter expert in the field, you will create well-tested high-quality tools to improve developer productivity and developer experience.

You will also:

  • Be capable of playing different roles within the team, from Lead Architect to Sr. Developer with hands-on abilities, to technical team leader
  • Lead and guide a team on developing solutions that fully integrate and collaborate with existing IT systems to solve complex business requirements
  • Be able to design and communicate with a holistic view of enterprise solutions

  • Have experience of successful modernization at corporations (re-platforming, re-hosting and service enablement)
